Revenge Of The Sith

On May 19th 2005, Revenge Of The Sith became the sixth and - in all probability - last Star Wars film to be released.

This is a suitably dark film that links the prequels and originals together. A lot of things die and quite a lot is resolved.

Kieren's View

There was a lot of hype about it (well of course) and whilst the dialogue was as poor as ever, I feel the film finished off the prequel trilogy nicely. In my opinion, it is the 3rd best - I saw it 3 times in the cinema :).

However I will say that there were quite a lot of inconsistencies, especially regarding the books which supposedly Lucasfilm did approve before they were printed.

For example:
  • It would not have taken 20-ish years to complete the Death Star, even with a minimal team building it! Especially considering that they managed to design and build special Jedi fighters within the 3 years between Episodes II and III.[General Observation]
  • Though this goes back to Episode II, Bevel Lemelisk was the designer of the Death Star (though it wasn't mentioned that this wasn't the case, it makes it look like he was not) [Darksaber]
  • Leia remembers her real mother yet she was alive with Leia for all of 30 seconds - Leia remembers that she was "beautiful but sad"? The best theory I have heard about this is that she remembers her mother through the force, like an emotion thing creating ripples.
