A New Hope
Kieren's View
Relative to today's films, this film starts off fairly slowly but back in the 70's it was a very fast introduction to a world, a universe and the characters. It was a space opera that was fundamentaly different. The people were not perfect, the worlds, homes and ships were dirty and scuffed and looked like they had been lived in.
At a time when film's scores were using popular music, the film had a grand, orchestral score.
This is the film that changed cinema totally and I love it.
